The Hidden Danger of Dieting Without Exercise đď¸ââď¸ Did you know that poorly designed diets can cause 25-50% muscle loss? And it gets worse as you age. A 2009 clinical trial showed that older adults (average age: 67) who dieted without exercise lost 4.3% of their muscle mass, compared to just 1% in those who combined diet with resistance training. Both groups lost similar body weight and fat, but the difference in muscle retention is HUGE. This proves one thing: if youâre dieting, you MUST include resistance training to protect your muscle mass and stay strong as you age. Bottom line: No matter your goals, exerciseâespecially resistance trainingâis non-negotiable. I have a cheat sheet that you may find useful to help get you started. Simply comment the word "EXERCISE" and I will share my cheat sheet.đ
