This is not normal! đThough, there are lots of reasons your contact lens might pop out. Contact lenses are fit by your eye doctor to the shape of the front surface of your eye. If your contact is falling out frequently it might be a sign that contact doesnât fit your eye well. Your contact should stay in place until you take them out. If theyâre popping out randomly then you might need to be refit for a different brand or base curve (think diameter of the contact lens) of the contact. The contact needs to be the right size and shape for your cornea (the clear dome shaped cover of the eye). If you are a vigorous eye rubber or if you have dry eyes, your contacts might pop out too. So lubricate with preservative free artificial tears to help on that front. So what should you do? First, make sure the contact lens doesnât have any rips or tears before putting it back in your eye. If you have contact lens solution handy, thatâs great! Or better yet, just put in a new lens if you wear daily disposables. In a pinch, you can use artificial tears to lubricate the contact lens to get it back in your eye. Has this happened to you?? . . #contactlens #contacts #eyedoctor #ophthalmology
