👁️✨ Did you know that two blue or green-eyed parents can have a brown-eyed child? 💙💚🤎 We were taught in high school biology that eye color follows a simple pattern: brown eyes are dominant, and blue eyes are recessive. And we learned that eye color is determined by a single gene. But guess what? That’s not quite right. Eye color is actually determined by as many as 16 genes working together, not just one. Even if both parents have blue or green eyes, they can still carry the genes for brown eyes. This means there’s a chance for their child to inherit those beautiful brown eyes! This is why it can be so hard to predict what color eyes your babies will have. #Greeneyes #EyeColor #PediatricOphthalmology #blueeyes #Browneyes Did you or your children have the eye color that people guessed?
