Walk 10,000 steps a day and you’ll magically lose 4-5 kgs a month Thanks to smartwatches and fitness apps, many of us are tracking our heart rate and steps daily. And one number keeps coming up—10,000 steps. Some people swear by it, believing it’s the key to good health. And yes, walking 10,000 steps a day does wonders for your cardiovascular system, circulation, and overall muscle function. Research even shows it helps regulate blood pressure, diabetes, and weight. But here’s the catch—walking alone isn’t enough. I keep reminding my patients that fitness is more than just steps. To truly maintain heart and vascular health, you need: ✔️ Strength training – to support muscle and joint health ✔️ Flexibility exercises – to prevent stiffness and improve mobility ✔️ A healthy diet – to nourish your body from the inside out So in 2025, make a goal to move beyond just counting steps.
