There are always going to be those people who say “you can’t,” “you won’t ever,” or “you shouldn’t.” I was told these things when I decided that I wanted to become a doctor. I was told that I wasn’t smart enough or capable enough. That it was a ‘man’s job.’ That it would interfere with marriage and motherhood. Guess what…I didn’t listen. Not to any of them. And today…I am here because I was smart and capable enough. I gave myself a seat at the ‘men’s table’. And I wouldn’t have it any other way! I love being an ophthalmologist and I love my family—I’m blessed to have a supportive husband and to be called a mama by three little ones 🥰. I knew I could have both and so can anyone else. Believe in yourself. Believe in your potential. Believe in who you know you can one day become. Above all else, trust your own voice over the negative comments of those who doubt you. ✨ If you like this video please like and comment and SUBSCRIBE for more videos. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCGqIyXbPEu7xlsZj7oZG5Yg#menu Let’s connect 💕 IG https://m.instagram.com/eyegirlmd TikTok https://vm.tiktok.com/eyegirlmd #doctora #doctors #medical #med #premed #medstudent #medschool #doctorlife #medicine #scrubs #strongwomen #internationalwomensday ##womensupportingwomen #hijabinspiration #muslimah #hijab
