What is happening here!? π
This is a great example of a nasolacrimal duct obstruction and what we can see on irrigation of the lacrimal system in clinic. These patients may have symptoms like excess tearing or even an infection of the lacrimal sac called dacryocystitis. Treatment is surgery called a DCR or dacryocystorhinostomy, which I usually do with an endoscope up the nose. π
Isnβt oculoplastics so interesting!? @aaoeye
