The life of a preventive physician (and cardiologist)! My job is to try and predict the disease before it ever happens. Utilizing new and innovative, lab tests and diagnostic studies, we can very commonly find mild disease before it becomes life-threatening disease. The most rewarding part of my job is not curing a disease (although this is pretty cool), but it is preventing it from ever starting to begin with!
