Sinus headaches are caused by sinusitis, an inflammation of the sinuses, usually, an allergy or an infection is the cause. A dull throbbing discomfort might be felt around the eyes, cheeks, and forehead. Cluster headaches are intense and recurring headaches, in contrast to women, men are six times more likely to be affected. People often describe a sharp stabbing pain behind or around one eye. Tension headaches impact almost everyone at some point in their lives, they appear as a continuous dull headache on both sides of the head. Other signs and symptoms include soreness in the head, face, neck, and shoulders, pressure behind the eyes, and sensitivity to light and sound.
