GIVEAWAY CLOSED -winner announced in stories 6/24 The transition from crib to big kid bed is an exciting milestone and beds. Thank you @sprout_kids for gifting us their Sosta bed and for helping me spread some education about transitioning to a big kid bed. 1️⃣Don’t move them too early! Wait until they are consistently climbing out or have reached the weight maximum of their crib. Moving too early can mean less of an ability to developmentally understand they need to stay in the bed. 2️⃣Prepare the room: Anchor furniture and remove any items that pose a safety hazard. They now have freedom to roam and we want to make the room as safe as possible. 3️⃣ Let them choose their pillow, bedding, or bed! We explained that Ryaan will be moving to a bed and let him pick out his bed online from @sprout_kids, bedding, pillow, and a new special lovey. This allows some sense of control and choice that can make big transitions easier. Thank you @sprout_kids for gifting us this bed. 4️⃣ Involve them in the process. Say “bye-bye” to the crib and have them help you build the bed by handing you items or watching you build it. Read books about moving to a bed and celebrate this milestone versus fearing It. This prep can help when the transition comes. To enter to win a @sprout_kids Sosta bed with platform and legs: 1. Follow @pedsdoctalk 2. Follow @sprout_kids 3. Like this reel 4.
