Check out this technique for sutureless scleral fixated IOL surgery. A team of ophthalmologists at a regional hospital in India – Pawan Puneet Malhotra, MBBS, MS, Gurmeet S. Mangat, MD, Amanpreet Kaur, Jr, MD – developed it. Their technique does not require glue or microforceps and can be performed through a 3.2-millimeter clear corneal incision. They have performed about 200 cases over the last 5 years at their tertiary eye care referral center, and report results and complications comparable to other techniques.
